RFAS provides commercial vehicle fleet and non-road mobile machinery operators with independent assurance of the life cycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and feedstock sustainability performance of renewable fuels sold in the UK and Europe. The scheme facilitates fleet operators receiving renewable fuel supply chain-specific GHG emissions data, thereby ensuring accurate and representative information for company carbon reporting.
RFAS Fleet is a chain of custody initiative that independently verifies renewable fuel traceability and the associated GHG emissions, across a fleet operators’ customer base. This enables companies providing services (e.g. in logistics or construction) to evidence the reduction of Scope 3 GHG transport and distribution emissions from using sustainable low carbon fuels and provide their customers with representative GHG emissions and feedstock sustainability data.
ASCAS verifies the chain of custody of fuel and chemical components where voluntary sustainability scheme certification is not available or is insufficient to demonstrate compliance with the advanced sustainable component feedstock and GHG emissions criteria for SRFAS.
