Electrification of Commercial Fleets

The challenges for the electric transition for heavier vehicles travelling regular, long distances are greater. There are, nevertheless, clear opportunities for an electric transition.

Our Commercial Vehicle Working Group brings people, ideas and expertise together to take forward projects that focus on the transition to cleaner and greener road freight. We work with vehicle manufacturers, freight transport operators, technology suppliers, energy infrastructure companies, technical specialists, policy makers and others to help make this happen. Covering vans, trucks and specialist commercial vehicles like refuse lorries, our group supports the freight carbon reduction agenda, improvements in air quality and net zero by 2050 objectives, meeting four times a year.
