PHEV vans are very limited in supply. The Outlander Reflex and Reflex Plus from Mitsubishi is currently the only manufacturer offering a PHEV in the UK, which is a 2 seater with extended load of around 1.6m3 in volume. Although trials on underway from Ford with their Transit Custom PHEV.
From April 2015, the government is introducting different categories of ultra-low emission vehicles depending on their electric only range and tailpipe emissions. Under this badning system, PHEVs may begin to recieve lower rate financial incentives than battery electric vans.
The Mitsubishi Outlander Reflex is eligible for the plug-in van grant.
