Zemo Partnership, in collaboration with the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCIA), will launch a joint government-industry action plan for zero emission powered light vehicles in the UK. Focusing on the principle of the 'right vehicle for the right journey' the report will set out an action plan designed to deliver rapid progress in the sector.

The Sector Action Plan (scooters, motorcycles and other L-Category vehicles) will be launched this Wednesday 2nd February with Transport Minister Trudy Harrison MP providing the keynote speech.

After several years working with a range of members to highlight the decarbonisation potential for smaller, lighter vehicles, the Government tasked Zemo Partnership and MCIA in the Transport Decarbonisation Plan, published last July, to develop an Action Plan for the powered light vehicle sector to coordinate and realise its full potential for emissions reduction and other environmental gains while creating new  industrial, business and consumer opportunities in the UK.

A press release and related communications will be published on Wednesday. Zemo members interested in supporting the launch should contact the Zemo Secretariat for further information.
