Gill Nowell & Rich Smith join Zemo Partnership as Associate Consultants

Zemo is delighted to announce that Gill Nowell and Rich Smith have joined the Partnership's Secretariat team as Associate Consultants. Gill brings more than 25 years’ experience in energy and environmental technologies, including 13+ years at the forefront of the electric vehicle sector while Rich has nine years’ experience in sustainability, with the past four focused on emobility and cleantech.
A strategic communications expert, Gill has built an influential network spanning policy, infrastructure, energy, automotive, insurance, and tech—both in the UK and internationally. A trusted voice on electric vehicles and smart energy, Gill is a regular media contributor (BBC Radio 4, LBC, CNBC, Talk TV and more) and a familiar face on industry panels and podcasts.
Gill was a co-founding Director of Electric Vehicle Association (EVA) England, an expert voice for Women Drive Electric, and founder of Hosted by Gill, which helps shape impactful conversations across energy and e-mobility.
Gill has a long history of association with Zemo Partnership having co-created the original concept for the EV Energy Taskforce alongside Zemo’s Managing Director, Jonathan Murray, over a decade ago.
Rich Smith was formerly Head of Marketing at Green.TV Media where he led high-profile e-mobility campaigns including the EV SUMMIT, World EV Day, and Top Women in EV, while also overseeing the growth of the B2B news title, ElectricDrives.
Rich will support the delivery of events for Moving to Zero - the collaborative project between the Welsh Government and Zemo.
