Venturefest is a business creation networking event at which entrepreneurs who are seeking capital to start or expand their businesses give 15 minute presentations to an audience of several hundred people among whom are investors, both venture capital companies and high net worth individuals, who are actively seeking to invest.
Around this core are many related activities. Patent agents give talks on how to protect intellectual property (IP). University professors talk about the latest developments in their labs – which will maybe form the basis of future businesses.
Venturefest starts with a breakfast and ends with a drinks reception. In addition to talksand informative lectures there are also exhibitions, an innovation showcase and other fora in which innovators can interact with investors.
Venturefest is free and typically attracts more than 1,000 people, from students wishing to learn about all aspects of business, to seasoned investors looking for their next big thing, to entrepreneurs seeking funding, to designers seeking new customers, to people who are seeking solutions to particular business problems.
