Description:

NB PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT HAS NOW BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL 2010

Organised and facilitated by Michelin, the World's leading tyre manufacturer and mobility services provider, Challenge Bibendum is a leading international event in the area of sustainable road mobility where industry, policymakers, academia and the media can review the latest technologies, debate policies and share their visions.

Challenge Bibendum 2009 combines technical tests and evaluations, demonstrations and test drives to gauge the progress in a wide range of areas including fuel consumption, pollutant emissions, acceleration, braking, road handling, safety and design. Debates and conferences will help delegates to understand the technologies and trends and share perspectives on future sustainable energy paths. The aim is also to provide private and public sector opinion leaders and decision-makers with objective information so that all stakeholders can work together to support the emergence of programmes and policies most likely to address sustainable mobility issues.

The next 'Challenge' will be taking place in Rio de Janeiro under the patronage of the President of Brazil, Lula da Silva, from Saturday 25th to Wednesday 29th April 2009.

If you would be interested in participating or exhibiting at the event, please visit the Challenge Bibendum website (see associated link) and download the pdf brochure and registration application form.
