Description:

The two-day Low Carbon Vehicles 2009 conference will cover a wide range of technological approaches to cutting C02 emissions from vehicles. Focussing on advanced IC engines, advanced transmissions, hybrid powertrains and fuel cell developments this conference will help you take a fresh look at the Low Carbon Roadmap.

This conference is sponsored by the Technology Strategy Board whose vision is for the UK to be a global leader in innovation and a magnet for innovative businesses, where technology is applied rapidly, effectively and sustainable.

In previous recessions, the automotive industry has gone through periods of transformation. Over the next three years, the Technology Strategy Board will apply around £1bn of investment– supporting Low Carbon Vehicles is one of its key objectives.

This highly technical event gives an invaluable chance to study engineering responses to market, regulatory and operational pressures. You can examine cost-effective routes to lower CO2 emissions and improved efficiency – without compromising vehicle performance. Technical Strategy Board, Ricardo, MIRA, Lotus, Jaguar Land Rover, BMW and Nissan will all take part, along with a selection of leading research universities.
