Warwick University are in the process of organising two events focused on promoting the development of Hybrid vehicles within the UK. The events are being held on the 8th June and the 12th December 2006 and will be located at the Prodrive test facility near Coventry and the University of Warwick respectively.

The events are intended to act as a hub for interaction between all the key stakeholders in hybrid developments. They are part of an ongoing project to highlight the potential and limitations of hybrid technology.

The ECOtravel bureau is a one-stop information service providing free and impartial information and advice to both the public and business communities on Merseyside. The bureau aims to encourage the use of reduced emissions vehicles to improve local air quality and cut emissions of CO2.

In collaboration with the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, the bureau will run the ECOtravel REVS (Reduced Emissions Vehicle Show) on 17th July 2006. The organisers say that the event  - which will take place at Knowsley Hall - is unique in the North West.

REVS aims to bring together class leading vehicles from all of the major manufacturers. The event is primarily aimed at the business community. The bureau aims to show that there are environmentally preferable choices in all model sectors and price levels, and as such REVS will present class leading petrol and diesel models as well as mild and full hybrids and alternatively fuelled vehicles.

The Energy Saving Trust, British Sugar, Saab and Lloyds TSB Autolease will provide presentations on various low carbon and cleaner technologies during the day.
