The new minister of State for Climate Change and the Environment, Ian Pearson, will speak at the Cities Action Summit at the QE2 Centre, Westminster, on Monday July 3rd. LowCVP members will receive a 50% discount on the published delegate rate.

The event, organised by Climate Change Solutions, will showcase city-based initiatives to combat climate change. The conference will feature an afternoon seminar/workshop on city-level solutions for cutting carbon in the road transport sector, organised by the LowCVP.
 
Other speakers at the Cities Action Summit include: Peter Ainsworth, the Shadow Environment Secretary; James Smith, Chairman of Shell UK; Steve Westwell, President and CEO of BP Alternative Energy and Nicky Gavron the Deputy Mayor of London.
 
Speakers at the LowCVP's late afternoon seminar include: Cllr Tony Page (who recently gave evidence to the Environmental Audit Committee on behalf of the LGA); Mark Evers, Senior Policy Analyst, Transport for London and Keith Boxer, Director of Innovation, Manchester Knowledge Capital (one of the winners of the LowCVP 'Challenge' - as announced at the annual conference - with a proposal for 'Green Badge Parking Permit').
