Description:

Challenge Bibendum – an international “clean and safe” vehicles event created and sponsored by Michelin – will take place in Paris from June 9-12. The event will showcase new vehicle technologies and give industry leaders, policy makers, researchers and the media the opportunity to assess them and to share new ideas.

Challenge Bibendum has taken place since 1998 in Clermont-Ferrand, Los Angeles, Heidelberg, Shanghai and Kyoto. The Paris event take place under the patronage of President Jacques Chirac and also of Mr Jacques Barrot, Vice-President of the European Commission, in charge of Transport.

This year’s event will follow three core themes: ‘The energy challenge’; ‘Technology and urban mobility’ and ‘Road safety’. The event will give vehicle manufacturers and developers the opportunity to showcase technical innovations in each of these areas.

Some spaces may still be available for the demonstration of vehicles and new fuel technologies. Participating companies will be invited to make vehicles available for demonstration sessions and ride and drive activities.
