Creating a Low Carbon Future '09 will allow both public and private sector organisations to come together and communicate decisions and solutions necessary for tackling Climate Change and Energy issues – to set in place the targets and timescales required to deliver on the policies contained within the Energy, Planning and Climate Change Bills. It will provide an important forum for discussion and learning among those leading policy and best practice in the transport sector.
The event will address themes such as:
• Adaptation and Mitigation to Climate Change
• Low Carbon Energy Technologies;
• Carbon Reduction Targets;
• Nuclear and Renewable Strategy; and
• The Delivery and Decarbonisation of the Transport System.
The LowCVP Director Greg Archer will provide the Chair’s welcome and introduction and will also Chair the Q&A panel session for the afternoon plenary: The Carbon Challenge.
