Description:

The International Vehicle Aerodynamics Conference 2014 is the latest event in the successful series supported by the Royal Aeronautical Society and Mira since 1994. This conference provides an opportunity for engineers, designers, academics and researchers to present the latest developments across an extensive range of aerodynamics themes.

***The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 January 2014***

Aerodynamics is key to the development of cars, commercial vehicles, motorbikes, trains and human powered vehicles. Driven by the need for fuel efficiency and carbon dioxide emissions reductions, aerodynamics has never been more central.

The ability to design vehicles that can meet these exacting technical challenges is based on fundamental scientific and engineering knowledge, as well as wind tunnel and computational fluid dynamics technology.

The International Vehicle Aerodynamics Conference 2014 is the latest event in the successful series supported by the Royal Aeronautical Society and Mira since 1994. This prestigious conference provides an ideal opportunity for engineers, designers, academics and researchers to present the latest developments across an extensive range of aerodynamics themes including:

• Vehicle aerodynamic development

• Drag reduction through design and technology

• Handling and stability

• Cooling flows and efficiency

• Surface contamination

• Vehicle internal environment

• Tyre aerodynamics and modelling

• Aeroacoustics

• Fluid structure interaction

• Simulating the vehicle environment

• Onset flow turbulence

• Understanding fundamental flow structures

• Developing test methods and facilities

• CFD simulation

• Competition vehicle aerodynamics

Offers of papers If you are involved with vehicle aerodynamics and think others may be interested in your work or the technology being developed, why not share your knowledge and expertise by producing and presenting a paper.

The first step is to produce an abstract of your proposed paper of no more than 250 words. Your abstract should be written in English and must include your name, paper title and affiliations.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 January 2014.

Please submit your abstract online at www.imeche.org/automobile/ivac/callforpapers
