The LowCVP is organising one of the conference modules within a major new event focused on sustainable business - Business and a Sustainable Environment; base 2010 - which runs from March 16-17 at ExCel London. The seminar, which will focus on the practical applications for electric vehicles, takes place during the morning of March 17.

base (business and a sustainable environment) is a pioneering new event focusing on how to do business in the 21st century sustainably. It is a gathering of businesses leaders, politicians and key personalities which will be unprecedented in its scale and breadth.

Speakers at the LowCVP seminar include Sean Long of One North East, Jonathan Shine, MD of Drivelectric, Calvey Taylor-Haw, MD of Elektromotive and Kevin Harkin, Sales Director of Tanfield Group/Smith's Electric Vehicles. The session will be chaired by the LowCVP Managing Director, Greg Archer.

Keynote speakers at base 2010 include Ed Miliband, the Climate Change Secretary, Environment Secretary Hilary Benn, Vince Cable MP, John Gummer MP, Justin King, Chief Executive, Sainsbury's, Jonathan Porritt and Charlie Mayfield, Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership.

base will provide practical, solutions-based information for business and, the organisers say, will complement this with inspiration, entertainment and networking. At its core, base will involve a two-day programme of 30 discrete 70-minute conference modules. There will also be keynote speeches, round-table networking, clinics, presentations, product launches and some ground-breaking business theatre.

base 2010 will provide practical ways to change or develop business operating models.
