Used Car Fuel Economy Label Launch, SMMT, November 2009

Minister for Transport Sadiq Khan launched a colour-coded Used Car Fuel Economy Label at an event in London. The label provides consumers with clear ‘at a glance’ information on the running costs, fuel consumption and environmental performance of used cars available from participating dealers. The initiative builds on the success of the new car fuel economy label, now widely recognised by consumers. The used car label is a voluntary initiative for dealers, developed by the LowCVP with support from the Retail Motor Industry Federation, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and the Department for Transport.
