Zemo's Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme (RFAS) has grown to 54 members with the approval of applications from Compass Energy and Ryze Power. The Scheme, designed and managed by Zemo Partnership, provides assurance about the greenhouse gas emissions savings of renewable fuels supplied to customers, as well as the provenance of raw material feedstocks.

RFAS works alongside the Government’s Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO), providing a mechanism to help ensure that fleet operators are purchasing bulk supplies of sustainable low carbon fuels.

There are now four international companies approved under the scheme, as well as 50 operating in the UK and Ireland.

RFAS enables fleet operators to receive renewable fuel supply chain specific GHG emission data, thereby ensuring accurate and representative information for company carbon reporting.
