World EV Day: a multi-media celebration of electric mobility

Fri 04 September 2020 View all news

World EV Day on September 9 has been established as a global celebration of all things e-mobility, and of EV ownership. It will be a multi-media festival, coordinated by Green.TV and conducted across a wide range of social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. The event aims to engage consumers around the sustainability benefits of EVs.

Drawing on inspiration from campaigns like WWF's Earth Hour, World EV Day aims to capture the imagination of the global EV community, and to be a major event in the calendar for the e-mobility sector in future years.

Alongside headline partner ABB and other leading organisations, the event aims to create a brand, an institution, and a major social media campaign.

World EV Day is working with its partners to either create digitally led creative campaigns, or provides the tools and channels for our partners to work on their own campaigns. The event will deploy partners’ channels, user generated content, and Green.TV’s sustainability and mobility channels, numbering a million followers.

The day itself will have three tracks:

  • Consumer focused content, via digital tools and creative campaign ideas, to deliver community led, user-generated content.
  • Business and policy sector engagement, via the EV Summit’s rolling panel discussion series
  • B2B2C campaigns that animate both employees and consumers around emobility.

The day will have three phases:

  • Leading into the day, content, creative campaigns and digital engagement tools.
  • On the day itself, live digital events that have both a consumer and business focus, as well as content, news and policy announcements.
  • Afterwards, World EV Day will be an opportunity for planning, and delivering on, consequential business partnership outcomes, marketing engagement and policy initiatives.
