As the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership goes into its second year of operation, we enter a critical phase of development. We need an enthusiastic, hands-on Director to develop and drive forward the Partnership's Strategy and ensure that we deliver on our key priorities.

If you have vision and a track record in delivery, this is a unique opportunity for you to drive the sustainable transport agenda in the UK. As LowCVP Director you will head up the LowCVP Secretariat, leading the small team in developing, servicing and steering the Partnership on a day-to-day basis. Together with the Deputy Director you will form close relationships with all Partnership members to develop and deliver the key work streams of the working groups. You will liase with the LowCVP Board to ensure its objectives are debated and acted upon by the private sector, Government and other relevant bodies.

 

You will have a deep understanding of the automotive industry, fuel industries, cleaner transport, energy policy, and the environmental issues affecting these sectors, with a background in one of these areas. You must be able to think innovatively to find solutions to complex issues and translate them into group action. Experience of delivering results in a multi-stakeholder environment is essential.

 

Inspirational and able to influence and motivate those around you, you will know what to do to make things happen, with the necessary financial and project management experience to support this.
