Transport Energy Network workshops to focus on low carbon fuel options

The Transport Energy Network - coordinated by the Advanced Propulsion Centre in collaboration with Brighton University and LowCVP - will be holding two workshops in July aimed at enhancing collaboration between low carbon fuel and thermal powertrain developers. The events will be held on 23 July (Birmingham) and 25 July (London).
The APC’s Thermal Propulsion Systems - Thermal Efficiency Spoke is running a work stream to understand long-term R&D priorities for low carbon fuels and clean efficient vehicles.
The objectives of the project are:

To enhance collaboration between low carbon fuel and thermal powertrain developers by creating a Transport Energy Network (TEN).

To hold a series of workshops through the TEN exploring current R&D projects in the UK and internationally, the barriers, opportunities and priorities, their TRL status and mapping of low carbon fuels and thermal powertrains, as well as synergies between automotive, marine and aviation sectors.

To map out a joint automotive and low carbon fuels roadmap for the UK.
The following Future Fuels and Thermal Powertrain R&D Collaboration workshops are being held for those interested in participating:
23rd July 11am – 4pm. Aston University
25th July 11am – 4pm. UCL London
