The Government has published a White Paper outlining the Government's long-term vision for transport.
The vision includes investments in new transport capacity, better utilisation of existing capacity and plans to move forward with road pricing to deal with congestion.
The White Paper includes a section focusing specifically on plans to mitigate climate change. These include continuing funding for R&D and demonstration projects; ensuring suitable tax incentives to encourage early uptake and the introduction of a new car CO2 label (drawing on advice from LowCVP).
