Rushlight Awards 2012-13 now open for entries

The Rushlight Awards 2012-13 are open for entries (closing date 31 October) and now have an in-kind prize fund worth over £500,000.
With 23 separate categories covering renewable energy, clean fuels and transport, energy efficiency, power generation, green products and services, sustainable agriculture, forestry and biodiversity, water, waste, sustainable manufacturing and services and environmental measurement and management, there is a category for any technology or innovation that reduces the environmental footprint of energy, transport, industry and everyday life.
If you have developed a technology or innovation that is pertinent to one of these categories, then do not hesitate to enter as you have so much to gain:
• There are over £500,000 worth of prizes to be won from a range of providers offering in-kind services that are of real value
• The Rushlight Awards have become widely recognized as the leading platform for UK and Irish organizations to promote their clean technology advances and innovation in developing and deploying clean technology solutions. Winners and commended entries in the past have gone on to even greater business success.
• As an RSA accredited event, all group category winners will automatically be nominated for the UK entries for the European Business Awards for the Environment.
• All entrants are eligible for a significant discount on the price of a stand at the Rushlight Clean Technologies Show on 31 January 2013 at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London
These awards can be used:
• to have your technological achievements recognised by a leading independent judging panel
• to open your business to new market opportunities
• to celebrate and thank the team who have developed a technology, installation or solution

Judging is performed by an independent panel of expert judges taken from academia, government, trade associations and includes representatives from NESTA, Technology Strategy Board, Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership, DECC, Carbon Trust, Energy Saving Trust, Environment Agency, DEFRA, WRAP, UKERC, BIS, British Geological Survey, PERA and DIUS.
