Professor Jim Skea, former launch director of the LowCVP, has been appointed as research director designate of the new UK Energy Research Centre.
The UKERC has been set up to take a lead in UK energy research and provide a focal point for international collaboration. The Government are spending £8-12m to establish the new centre.
