Businesses experienced electric vehicles close-up at a pilot event hosted by Electricity North West (ENW) with Transport for Greater Manchester at MediaCityUK earlier this month. The Electric Vehicles Experience showcased a range of the latest electric vehicles and offers an opportunity to hear insights from industry leaders about the key role they play in net zero.

The event, framed around the the end of sale of ICE-powered vehicles in 2030/35 showed local small and medium-sized businesses what grants and tax incentives are available help make the shift. The event provided the opportunity to test drive some popular models of electric cars, commercial vehicles, taxis and other sustainable travel solutions. It featured talks from industry professionals discussing electric vehicles, active travel, charging options and the support available for businesses looking to electrify their fleets.

The event, supported by Zemo Partnership, was conceived by ENW as a model which can be rolled out more widely across the north-west and, (potentially, by other market participants) to other regions of the country.

ENW has produced a short video showing highlights from the event.

An event, focused on providing advice around fleet electrification to local authority officers will be taking place in Coventry in the Autumn (Link, 19 Sept, provisional). For more details about this or the EV Experience Event, contact us at Zemo Partnership.
