New appointment to the LowCVP Secretariat team

The LowCVP Secretariat has appointed a new Programme Manager. Gloria Esposito, an environmental scientist with ten years experience of air pollution assessment and management will begin her new role on June 6.

Gloria has held positions in environmental consultancy, academia and local government and, in that time, has developed research, projects and policies related to improving local air quality and addressing climate change.

One of her key work areas has been expanding the uptake of low carbon vehicle fuels and technologies, including electric, hybrid and biomethane vehicles. During her employment at the London Borough of Camden, the Council received the Public Sector Green Fleet Award from Green Fleet Magazine, and the Guardian Newspaper's Fleet Hero Award for Innovation in Fleet Management.

Gloria has been appointed following the departure of Roy Williamson who has moved to join a management consultancy based in Cambridge.
