LowCVP Champions Awards and life-cycle emissions seminar, 14 November - only a few days left to register!

There are only a few days left to register for the LowCVP Low Carbon Champions Awards Gala Reception and for the afternoon seminar which focuses on the issues surrounding the move from tail-pipe to life-cycle measures of vehicle emissions. Both events, which are free to members, will take place at One Birdcage Walk, Westminster on Monday 14 November. The seminar begins at 2pm and the Reception at 6pm.
The seminar, 'Moving to a life-cycle assessment of vehicle emissions' is free to LowCVP and IMechE members. it will enable delegates to gain a truly European perspective on the issues surrounding proposed moves from tail-pipe to life-cycle emissions measures with leading speakers from Swizerland, the Netherlands and the UK taking part in the event.
It will build on the findings of the recent report - 'Preparing for a life-cycle CO2 measure'- written by Ricardo for the LowCVP.
Bookings for the seminar are free to members of the LowCVP and IMechE and media (£75 to others. Organisations currently applying to join the LowCVP will also be admitted free).
The LowCVP Low Carbon Champions Awards will take place as part of a Gala Reception which follows the life-cycle seminar. The keynote speaker will be Tony Juniper, a campaigner, writer, sustainability adviser and a special adviser with the Prince's Charities Foundation International Sustainability Unit.
There are seven categories for the prestigious Low Carbon Champions Awards reflecting the diversity of those engaged in encouraging the shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels. There are also two special awards. Follow the associated link for full event details.

Both the LowCVP Low Carbon Champions Awards 2011 and the seminar are held in association with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
