There are less than three weeks to the application deadline for the new LowCVP Innovation Award which will be presented to the most impressive entry - or entries - to Cleantech Innovate 2014 in the area of road transport.

ecoConnect's Cleantech Innovate 2014 celebrates green industry innovation across a range of UK sectors in a unique one-day format. The LowCVP Awards will go to the entries in the low carbon transport category that, in the opinion of the judges  offers the greatest potential to quickly, cost effectively and significantly de-carbonise road transport (passenger and/or freight) in the UK.

Now in its second year, this year’s event takes place on Thursday, 13 February, 2014 at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, One Birdcage Walk, Westminster.

Forty all new British growth-oriented and venture-ready technology companies will present live at what is the largest innovation showcase of its kind in the UK. Companies will be pre-selected from a highly competitive field and drawn from the corporate, academic and private sectors.

The audience for the event is as diverse as the presenters: investors seeking new investment opportunities in Cleantech; corporate buyers seeking green solutions and partnerships; media covering the sector and its trends; dealmakers from law firms and accountancies.

In addition to the opportunity to present at the Cleantech Innovate Showcase event, LowCVP Award winner(s) will be celebrated through communications with the Partnership's wide member, stakeholder and media contact lists, via press releases, newsletters, social media and the LowCVP's website pages.

Further opportunities to present the winning ideas in person to potential future customers, collaborators and key influencers will be made available, including to the LowCVP’s Innovation Working Group and, possibly, at the LowCVP’s Annual Conference/Champions Awards events. The leading entry will also receive a year's free membership of the LowCVP (worth up to £3300). The LowCVP will also cover the bursary payment for selected finalists in the road transport category.

The deadline for entries to take part in the Cleantech Innovate Showcase and, therefore, to be eligible for the LowCVP Award is 7 October.
