This year's Motor Show - to be held at ExCel in London's Docklands from July 23rd this year - is set to feature an exhibition of 'greener' driving for the first time. The LowCVP is represented on the 'curatorial committee' for the exhibition, which also includes representatives from the SMMT, DfT's 'Act on CO2', WhatCar? and Michelin.

The 'Greener Driving Pavilion' will be a major, industry-backed environmental feature which aims to showcase the broad range of technological innovation by which the automotive industry is responding to the climate change challenge.

It will be a large-scale, interactive, educational feature, sited in one of the main exhibition halls amongst the mainstream vehicle manufacturers. It will comprise a central auditorium which will be used to present talks, demonstrations, TV broadcasts, webcasts, videos etc throughout the day, with material provided from a variety of educative sources.

The central auditorium will be surrounded by a wide range of interactive mini-exhibits designed to bring the various 'greener driving' themes to life.

The coordinators of the Greener Driving Pavilion would be interested to hear from organisations with environmentally-themed AV material and/or technological exhibits for possible inclusion in the exhibition.
