The European Commission has launched a consultation on long-term plans to end the EU’s oil dependency in transport. As part of the Clean Transport Systems (CTS) consultation, the Commission will launch a Communication on alternative transport fuels in the first quarter of 2012. The Communication is intended to present a comprehensive long-term alternative fuel strategy for the EU area.
The strategy will aim to provide industry, the public sector and consumers with a clear and coherent vision, accelerating the use of alternative transport fuels in Eurpope.
