Electric vehicles on the agenda at LowCVP/Praseg event

Renault says that electric vehicles have the potential to cut tank-to-wheel CO2 emissions by 90%; more than any other engine technology. A Renault speaker made the claim at a joint LowCVP/Praseg seminar to discuss the prospects for electric vehicles from a number of key perspectives. The event was held at the House of Commons on 25 March.

The event was chaired by Alan Whitehead, MP, chair of the Parliamentary Renewable Energy Association (Praseg) and there was an introduction by Greg Archer the LowCVP Director.

Christine Tissot, General Manager Electric Vehicle Business Development for Renault gave the opening presentation. Mme Tissot was followed by Chris Pascall, Head of Transport, EDF. Kevin Austin, Head of Transport for the Greater London Authority provided a perspective from a public authority viewpoint.
