Calling London's freight operators; Commercial GreenFleet, 23 Feb, Twickenham

Wed 01 February 2017 View all news

Commercial GreenFleet on 23 February in Twickenham, West London, will provide London's freight operators with an opportunity to find out how to cut costs and emissions as London gears up for a new Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). The LowCVP is a partner and exhibitor in the event, which is organised by GreenFleet and staged in association with TfL's LoCITY initiative.

The event, which will be held at Twickenham Stoop Stadium (the home of Harlequins Rugby Club) will provide organisations that operate vans and trucks in and around London with advice on 'how to be ready for change'. The event will address all the very latest issues, including an update on the ULEZ Air Quality consultation.

It will include keynote addresses from TfL, OLEV and the Mayor’s Office as well as case study presentations. There will be vehicle technology on show, test drives and innovative solution showcases.

LowCVP representatives will be available at the event (via the LowCVP exhibition stand) to offer advice and information on the Partnership's work in improving efficiency and cutting emissions from the freight sector, including the plans for our newly re-formed Commercial Vehicle Working Group (see related news link) which will meet on March 1st in Birmingham. (Non-members, as well as members, of the LowCVP are invited to attend this initial meeting and to help plan and prioritize the Partnership's activities for the coming year in this area.)

At the Commercial GreenFleet event, Cenex and the LowCVP will be presenting and seeking input to the initial draft of their fleet advice information which is being developed for LoCITY.

Commercial GreenFleet is FREE to attend, offers a complimentary breakfast, all day refreshments and a buffet lunch, but places are limited so please register soon.
