All the team at Zemo wish our members, partners and friends a happy and healthy festive season; a chance to recharge batteries, ready to meet the exciting decarbonisation opportunities ahead!
It's been a hectic year with activity across the whole life cycle of road transport, from low carbon energy generation and infrastructure to the users of new and used vehicles, covering the smallest powered light vehicles to the largest trucks and all the vehicles in between.
Some highlights from Zemo's last year:
The Zemo-convened Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce, publishes a wide range of reports and guidance on measures to optimise the benefits of the EV transition to the energy system
Zemo and the MCIA were tasked by Government (in the landmark Transport Decabonisation Plan) to realise the potential of powered light vehicles - an action plan was published in early 2022
New £200m Zero Emission Freight Trials (ZERFT) were announced by Government building on Zemo work and analysis to support and identify the most promising options to accelerate the transition to zero in the freight sector
New studies by Zemo assessed the potential for hydrogen to play a role in the transport decarbonisation transition, taking account of the full life-cycle and energy impacts
Zemo's Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme went from strength-to-strength with 14 suppliers signed up, covering most of the UK renewable fuels market
We celebrated the end of the pandemic lockdowns with a packed Parliamentary reception in the House of Lords
