Appointment of Programme Manager for Low Carbon Vehicle Procurement Progamme

Fri 30 November 2007 View all news

The Department for Transport has issued a formal invitation to organisations to express their interest in participating in the management of the Low Carbon Vehicle Procurement Programme. The deadline for initial responses is Monday 3rd December (4pm).

The DfT announced plans for the programme in early November (see link to LowCVP news story). The DfT is making £20m available to support public sector procurement of (primarily) low carbon vans with the aim of 'kick-starting' this part of the market. A further £30m is earmarked for the programme for 2008-11 providing the initial implementation proves successful.

Organisations responding to the tender call must include in their submission a range of information as set out in the OJEU notice - including general information, declarations, financial information and the services provided by their organisation.

Requests to participate/expressions of interest will be evaluated and successful organisations at this initial stage will be invited to submit a full tender against the DfT's specification for the role. The deadline for submitting the full tender is likely to be around late January/early February.
