£92 million commitment to 49 innovative automotive projects in the latest round of Government funding

The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) has announced a total investment of £92 million which has been awarded to 49 groundbreaking low carbon automotive projects and feasibility studies.

The latest funding round has seen grants distributed through three key funding streams:

  • The fast-start Advanced Route to Market Demonstrator (ARMD) competition which is aimed at supporting industry continuation following the pandemic,
  • AP16 which supports technological growth and the securing of 3,000 jobs 
  • Automotive Transformation Fund (ATF) which focuses on placing the UK at the centre of the global transition to net-zero.
