Western Power Distribution's Balancing Act conference on low carbon technologies will seek to generate discussion around:
- Future challenges for the Low Voltage (LV) Network
- The integration of electric vehicles (EVs) in preparation for 2040
- The electrification of heat
- The latest learnings from our storage trials
The LV Network needs to develop to become more flexible and enable the integration of future technologies.
The day will start with discussions on customer behaviours and acceptance of demand shifting interventions.
This will be followed by a case study of our latest NIC project, OpenLV, which is looking to create a platform that will open up the LV network data to third parties.
