Description:

The LowCVP Managing Director, Andy Eastlake, will delivering the keynote address at this event which has been organised to discuss the technical and commercial feasibility of reusing retired battery systems to support new sources of renewable energy.

CO2 emissions legislation is shaping a transport future with increased levels of electrification within the powertrain. The high purchase price and recycling costs of lithium-ion batteries will potentially create a sustainable market for the redeployment of these batteries when they have reached their vehicle end of life.

In collaboration with GoodWolfe Energy, Cranfield University has assessed the technical and commercial feasibility of reusing retired battery systems to support new sources of renewable energy in grid, off-grid and SmartGrid applications.

The dissemination event aims to bring together key stakeholders from the transport and electrical power and energy storage industries. The key findings from this TSB funded project will be presented including an overview of the commercial opportunities, new markets and novel technology solutions that are available to the industry. Follow the registration links to discover how your organisation could benefit from these opportunities..
