This one-day event for businesses with vehicle fleet operations will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Government’s plans for removing combustion engines from the roads by 2040, and about the introduction of Clean Air Zones across the UK.
These plans will have impacts on all road users, and the implications will be particularly big for those who run a business. The changes will influence your choice of vehicles and their associated costs, though this topic is not just about what transport to choose - these initiatives will force wholesale changes in the way we think about our travel choices, and the infrastructure used to support it. Not since the first motor vehicles took over from the horse and cart has there been so much change and disruption to our mobility.
You'll hear from local bodies on their plans to implement these changes, how it relates to policy and infrastructure, and the revisions they think will be necessary. Vehicle manufacturers will share the advances that they are making and what is coming in the future. Infrastructure providers will also furnish you with practical advice, applications and support on how to implement alternatively fuelled vehicles (AFV's).
In addition to all this, the Energy Savings Trust (EST) and Lombard Vehicle Solutions (LVS) will be providing information on how they can support you in these areas. You will come away with information that will help you understand these changes, as well as how to plan and make provisions for them.
