The not for profit event is hosted by the Sustainable Environment Foundation, a charity founded to promote public awareness of and research into the impact of climate change on the built environment.

The critical question addressed by senior business, society, government and academic speakers on the day will be whether or not urban consumers are prepared to face up to the impacts that their lifestyles have?

The event is chaired by James Naughtie, BBC Radio 4.
