HJS Emission Technology was founded in 1976 with its headquarters based in Menden, Central Germany. HJS employs approximately 500 people who are engaged in the development, production and marketing of modular exhaust systems for reducing emissions for all road, rail, construction and marine applications. Our business in the UK is supported by our dedicated sales, project management and technical teams operating from our facility in Swindon, Wiltshire. From this facility, our engineering team provide nationwide installation and technical support.
These innovative environmental protection technologies can be used either as original equipment or for retrofitting in passenger cars, commercial vehicles as well as a wide range of non-road mobile machinery and stationary applications. In addition to systems for spark-ignition engines, HJS today focuses on solutions for diesel engines – especially for reducing the emissions of soot particles (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx). With its extensive range of patents for DPF® (diesel particulate filter) and SCRT® (Selective Catalytic Reduction Technology) systems, HJS sets benchmarks both nationally and internationally. HJS is represented in the UK through Emission Engineering Ltd.
HJS has helped numerous vehicle operators to upgrade emissions to ensure compliance with the London ULEZ and Clean Air Zones across the UK, our systems have been tested at Millbrook proving ground and are approved by the energy savings trust.
