Coventry University is one of the UKs top ten modern universities and has a long standing tradition of excellence in applied research and teaching. Coventry has been at the heart of manufacturing in the transport sector for over 160 years: from the early days of bicycle, motorbike and car production to its current position at the heart of the UKs growing low carbon vehicle industry. Coventry University remains central to these developments, building on a tradition of excellence in transport design & engineering by undertaking cutting edge applied research helping to create the greener and more integrated transport systems of the future. As part of City Lab Coventry the University is working with Coventry City Council to make Coventry a test-bed for the low carbon technologies of the future.

The University is also working with partners around the world to ensure that the transport industry is able to meet the challenges of tomorrow. We provide support to companies in the low carbon vehicles sector through specialist consultancy and continuing professional development as well as through access to state-of-the art facilities such as our brand new £55m Engineering & Computing Building which features a 2,000 square metre, £3m high-performance engineering centre and a high-precision wind tunnel.
