Zemo Zero Emission Bus Workshop - Glasgow

Description:

Zemo Partnership is hosting the first physical Zero Emission Bus Workshop of 2021 with Scotland's largest independent operator McGill's in Glasgow. The event will also be supported by manufacturer Yutong Pelican Bus & Coach and infrastructure and finance provider Zenobe Energy.

Although we are holding this event physically, Zemo will be streaming the event via Microsoft Teams. A link will be shared with attendees ahead of the event.

There are many changes that come from transitioning to zero emission bus technologies affecting bus operations, training & skills and energy management. Much of this transition can be managed by working with suppliers on key areas like route analysis, grid upgrades, smart charging, on-site energy generation and storage and telematics.

This workshop will focus on the challenges that McGills have faced and how the project partners have supported them in rolling out over 30 electric buses and charging infrastructure.

The event will take place at Glynhill Hotel, 169 Paisley Road, Renfrew, Glasgow, PA4 8XB, off Junction 27 of the M8 near Glasgow Airport.

A shuttle bus will be available to attendees that will leave at 9:30am from outside Glasgow Central Train station on Gordon Street (look for Pick up/Drop-off & Taxi rank).

Zemo will ensure that the event adheres to local guidelines relating to Covid and encourage social distancing wherever possible.
