Description:

SPARK will bring together electrical and financial engineers; traditional and novel business models; the tech giants and the tech fireflies, the old-world old grid leaders who are reinventing themselves together with the new energy leaders and covers all major developments disrupting the electricity industry.

Despite the great work being done by many, there’s a mountain still to climb. Our existing business models and grid infrastructure are not up to the challenges created by new power generation technologies. As emerging market growth lifts millions out of poverty, the world’s energy needs are only going to grow.

The utility of the future will need very different skills and abilities to survive and thrive.

We need to break out of our silos and talk and debate across function, industry and geography.

SPARK WILL GENERATE SOLUTIONS, NEW WAYS OF THINKING AND NOVEL PARTNERSHIPS

We have designed an event that is engaging, collaborative and global. The carefully curated content will only be about disruptive innovation and draws upon our vast experience in producing events for the international energy sector.

Our motto is SPARK SOMETHING.

START-UPS, SPARKED

UP Start-ups are transforming the energy sector with new ideas and new ways of thinking. Yet without the right level of investment and partnerships they may never see the light of day. Our Start-up Village will provide a platform for 150 cutting edge small businesses to meet investors and major players, gaining the finance and expertise they need to succeed.

The event features high profile speakers from international bodies and companies including:

  • The United Nations Environment Programme
  • The European Commission
  • The European Environment Agency
  • The International Energy Agency
  • The Climate Change Committee
  • The National Grid
  • Client Earth

...amongst many others.
