Description:

Energy Saving Trust’s Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference 2019 will be held in central London on Thursday 28 November. These awards celebrate sustainable transport and recognise those organisations that are leading the way and making progress towards achieving zero emissions.

Supported by the Department for Transport, this year’s event focuses on ‘Driving Net Zero’ and how electrifying fleets and cities supports the government’s ambition of net zero emission transport across the nation.

Now in its 14th year, the Fleet Heroes Awards are open for entries! A total of seven refreshed categories reflect innovation and advancement in the sector, with applications being invited from organisations of all types and sizes operating across the UK. The awards are free to enter and the event is free to attend.

The new Sustainable Deliveries Hero award recognises an organisation that is improving the efficiency and sustainability of their delivery or collection services, and the revived Innovation Hero award recognises organisations offering an innovative product or service that reduces carbon emissions or air pollution, or presents a novel solution to a travel or transport challenge.

Applications for the awards are open now, and the application form, judging criteria and full list of categories can be found on the Fleet Heroes websiteEntries close on 30 September 2019. Delegates can also secure their free place to attend the event.

This year’s conference, which takes place at the same venue prior to the Awards, will focus on the government’s ambition to reach net zero emissions in transport, and how organisations and the government are moving in this direction.

Go Ultra Low has recently been named as the headline sponsor of the Fleet Heroes Awards 2019. (News link.)
